Ep29: Holy Week: The Holy Sacrifice
The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is completed on Good Friday but it begins on Holy Thursday. At the Last Supper, Jesus shares bread and wine with his friends saying "This is my body...this is my blood." Greg shares how when we attend Holy Mass we are standing at the foot of the cross. The same sacrifice Jesus made on the cross is present in front of us on the altar.

Ep28: the first to throw a stone
As Passiontide begins, we hear an account in the Gospel of Jesus helping a woman who people want to punish. She has been accused of breaking a promise in marriage, there is anger all around, but Jesus meets this anger with words of love and forgiveness. Mary helps us to reflect upon what Jesus may be saying to us through this Gospel.
Ep27: The Lost Son Comes Home
On Laetare Sunday, we hear Jesus share one of his most famous parables. He tells of a son who runs away from home, turning his back on his father and causing his family pain. However, after time away, the son decides to return home. The way his father welcomes him is shocking! He completely forgives him. Greg helps us see how this parable is about each one of us and how we can all move away from the love of God.
Ep26: Grow Holy in Lent
Lent is the perfect season to look at our lives honestly and ask 'am I sharing love and kindness with others?' In the Gospel, Jesus shares a beautiful parable that helps us understand that he is always ready to help us grow. Sr Therese explains that Jesus believes that we can be the people we were made to be, that we can be holy. Sister leads us in prayer, picturing Jesus standing before us. We then join Angel and sing one of our favourite hymns 'Here I Am Lord.'
Ep25: Enter God’s Presence in Lent
In the Gospel, Jesus takes three of his friends up a high mountain to pray. There he is transfigured, meaning his face and clothes become dazzling white. Greg helps us to reflect on this wonderful moment and how we are invited to have our own mountaintop encounter with Jesus each and every time we pray. Jesus wants us to experience the same joy and peace his friends did at the Transfiguration. We enter into his presence as we pray and the sing 'Better in His Presence' with Joe.
Ep24: The Meaning of Lent
Lent is a season of “Metanoia” meaning a change of heart and a turning back to God. In the Gospel, Jesus is tempted in the wilderness. Angel reflects on how Jesus was strong in the face of temptation and how we can be inspired by his example this Lent. We then enter into prayer, inviting Jesus to inspire us as we set out on our Lenten journey. We are also beginning our Mission to support Mary’s Meals this Lent as we pray, fast and give for the world’s hungriest children.
